TYANA LAWLESS

FEI DRESSAGE COMPETITOR – GRAND PRIX

Tyana’s lifetime has been surrounded by horses. Starting out as most riders in Australia do, through Pony Club dabbling in Prince Phillip Games,  progressing to saddle horse,  minor level eventing and ultimately settling, and establishing a career in the discipline of dressage.

Tyana won and was reserve, for several West Australian State Dressage Championships across a variety of levels. In previous years Tyana has traveled to the eastern states to compete at the Victorian Dressage Championships, Sydney CDI and Australian Dressage Championships.  In 2006 Tyana represented Australia at the New Delhi Dressage Invitational. Early on in her career Tyana was a working pupil for Mary Hanna, and later on spent time working in Germany at Hof Bettenrode (Family Hess) and Kempke Hof.

Tyana’s has trained with Clemens Dierks, Glennis Barry, Ricky Macmillan, Manolo Mendez and Harry Boldt. Currently Tyana trains with Lone Jorgensen.

Tyana is a NCAS EA Accredited Coach . Providing  dressage  coaching for a myriad of different riders, from recreational to 1* and FEI.

Tyana has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology and a Graduate Certificate -Physician Assistant Studies. Tyana believes that Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is integral in all professions and is essential to learning and improving.

Tyana

MATT WELSH

4 GOAL POLO PLAYER

Matts’s lifetime has also been surrounded by horses. Growing up on a cattle farm, mustering cattle and commencing Polocrosse at age 7.

Matt has a wealth of knowledge and long career spanning over 20 yrs working with horses. Matt started in Polocrosse at a very young age. After completing school he worked in New Zealand playing, breaking and training Poloccrosse horses. Matt then moved to WA playing, breaking and training  horses.

Matt then secured a position as a breaker and horse trainer for Devereaux Farm. He continued to play Polocrosse and it is here he commenced his career in polo in 1998. In 2004 Matt became the Manager for Geebung Polo Team (Australia), managing the Devereaux Polo Farm for eight years. This included the training, care and management of over 350 horses from foals to performances horses. He also managed the breeding program, with some 30 foals born each year. In 2010 Matt then went onto manage the Mandalay Polo Team for four years where he continued to run a horse program for polo ponies that competed throughout Australia, winning numerous awards.

 

Matt is a NCAS Polocrosse coach and an accomplished performance horse breeder, selling horses interstate and internationally.
